    with Sta-C Peterson
    5:30pm-7:30pm
Join us for a fun, beginner level, educational class learning to create Viking Knit Chain with Silversmith, Sta-C Peterson. She will guide us through the steps to create a hand-knitted chain perfect for jewelry and accessory adornment.   Everyone who sees these handcrafted Viking Knit necklaces and bracelets simply fall in love with them.   You will learn to create a single weave bracelet during this class using your choice of colored, copper or silver-plated wire.
    No previous knowledge needed.
The weave style is based on ancient Viking chain patterns, and is perfect for making bracelets and necklaces. The result of this class is a beautiful handcrafted work of art that is flexible and comfortable to wear. This chain is constructed by weaving wire around a dowel rod. To finish the weave, the chain is pulled through a wooden drawplate to reduce its diameter and to smooth the wires.  All these techniques will be covered in class as well as ideas for finishing the ends and adding dangles and beads for unique creations.  Tools will be available for use during class.
Draw plates and sterling silver wire will be available for additional purchase.
