    Event Description:
SARC?s 7th annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® fundraiser, takes place on Saturday, April 25 in downtown Bel Air. The event challenges men to walk a mile in high heels to benefit SARC, the Harford County organization that helps area victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, child abuse and stalking. Women, children and groups are also invited to participate. SARC Executive Director Luisa Caiazzo says, ?Area businesses have really rallied behind this year?s Walk a Mile challenge, and the event would not be possible without their generous support.? Additional sponsors for Walk a Mile and other SARC fundraisers this year include Harford Mutual Insurance Co., Harford?s Heart, Aaron?s, JigSaw Marketing Solutions, Ciampaglio Potter Associates (CPA), Innovative Insurance Solutions, Oak Contracting, Harford Bank and Harford Community College. The Bel Air walk is part of a worldwide effort to mark Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and many other organizations are hosting Walk a Mile in Her Shoes challenges throughout April. SARC hopes to raise $50,000 from their event this year. Sponsorship opportunities are still available and registration for teams and individuals remains open through the day of the event. (Walkers can register the day of the race.) This year?s Walk a Mile begins and ends on the parking lot next to Main Street Oyster House.
