“Child of the World” First Friday Opening Reception with Tori Azzaro
Name: “Child of the World” First Friday Opening Reception with Tori AzzaroDate: July 1, 2016Time: 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM EDTWebsite: http://www.thepaletteandthepage.comEvent Description:The Palette & The Page Announces The July First Friday Opening Reception!
The First Friday Event, July 1, 2016, 5pm-8pm at The Palette & The Page gallery, features the opportunity to meet Tori Azzaro at the Opening Reception for “Child of the World” with film photographic images from her time in India at the HOINA Orphanage from 5pm-8pm. Musician Joe Paulus will be performing his music during the evening.
“Child of the World” features the black and white film photographs from her experience at the HOINA Orphanage in India. Tori worked and and lived at HOINA for a month and was completely enamored with the children and staff. The title of the exhibit comes from the inspiration Ms. Azzaro found in the children of orphanage and her wish to honor them. Tori also attributes the exhibit title to this being her first trip abroad and her wish to photograph everywhere.
During Tori Azzaro’s sophomore year of High School her new art teacher opened the school darkroom again. It was this
teacher, Mrs. Moore, that changed Tori’s art world forever. She helped her understand the darkroom process and allowed
her to finally flourish in the art form she now adores. Tori is currently attending York College. Her professor, Jim Sheen, has challenged her to be the best photographer she can be. He is a mentor, and the willing critique when Tori is doubting her work. Mr. Sheen readied her to photograph in India. Tori now continues to photograph her world, and hopes to travel more and learn about different cultures and their people.
Joe Paulus, local guitarist will be present during the evening performing his music.Location:Contact Information:Set a Reminder:
