Cecil County Harvest Dinner

Sweet potato-turnip lasagna- tomato and three cheese with seasoned beef. Smoked beef brisket with Jerusalem artichoke mash. Zucchini and yellow squash wrapped chicken enchilada with avocado crema and queso fresco. And, those are just the main courses! If your mouth is already watering, you won’t want to miss the 2019 Cecil County Harvest Dinner on Thursday, September 26, 2019. The dinner is a celebration of locally sourced, fresh, farm-to-table delicacies, and the agriculture community who yields them. The 7-course feast will feature succulent dishes prepared from crops harvested at local farms including Calvert Farms, Flying Plow Farm, Milburn Orchards, Priapi Gardens, Rumbleway Farms and Stafford Angus. There will also be a cash bar with happy hour special pricing on all Cecil County craft beverages available. The event, a collaborative planning effort by the Cecil County Office of Economic Development and the University of Maryland Extension, begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Chesapeake Inn in Chesapeake City, MD.
