John Micklos, Jr. will be signing his newest children’s book, Beach Fun: Poems of Surf and Sand, along with these other books for children - 125 True stories of Amazing Pets, No Boys Allowed, The Sound in the Basement, Daddy Poems, Mommy Poems, and a children’s adventure book Grandparent Poems.
The photographer for Beach Fun, Lisa Goodman, will be joining John during the signing.. is the author of 25 books for young readers of all ages, including poetry and picture books for children ages 4-10 and history and biography titles for upper elementary and older readers. John served for many years as editor of Reading Today, the award-winning membership newspaper of the International Literacy Association. He lives in Newark, Delaware.
Since graduating from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh twenty years ago, Lisa Goodman has photographed throughout the U.S., Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, Central America, and Africa. Her work has appeared in books and guides such as The Best of Photography Annual, America the Beautiful, and the Washington DC Visitors Guide. She has been honored with one person shows at The Art Institutes of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.Lisa's work has sold in over twenty-eight countries and across five continents.
This event coincides with the Elkton Chamber & Alliance’s Downtown Elkton Car Show.
