Berry Bowl & Draining Plate Project
with Susan O’Hanlon, ceramicist
Summer is around the corner -- finally! Imagine picking and washing fresh, juicy, ripe berries in a bowl you made yourself! In this workshop, we will weave extruded clay coils into a lovely berry bowl and hand build a plate where your bowl can rest while draining. Susan will provide instruction, plenty of options for customization, and hands-on guidance to help you create your one-of-a-kind masterpiece. Bring a smock, because you’ll be getting messy! Class fee includes bisque and glaze firing charges as well as stoneware clay, use of artist’s tools and brushes, and single-dip glazing by artist in a studio glaze of your choice. Pick up your finished pieces at The Palette & The Page when ready, or pay an additional fee to have your items carefully packed and
shipped to your home.
Intermediate Level - Prior experience working with clay is helpful; participants ages 12-15 must be accompanied by a paying adult participant able to provide assistance as needed. Sorry, but this workshop is too complicated for most children under 12.
