4th Annual Strides for STEM 5K, 1 Mile Walk and Kid's Fun Run

We invite you to support the Harford County community through participation and sponsorship of the third annual Young Armed Forces Communication Electronics Association (AFCEA) 5K Run, 1 Mile Walk, and Kids Fun Run which will be held at Leidos Field at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland on October 24th, 2015. This event, hosted by the Aberdeen Chapter of Young AFCEA, is the Chapter?s largest fundraiser of the year with proceeds going towards science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) initiatives in Harford County. Now more than ever, it is important for students to have access to educational experiences that generate interest and enhance ability in the STEM disciplines. The Young AFCEA Aberdeen Chapter has selected to donate proceeds raised from the Young AFCEA 5k Run and 1 Mile Walk to Bel Air Middle School?s Engineering Club. Each year the BAMS engineering club competes in several challenges both locally and nationally. Students research specific topical issues we face as a growing population and write research papers about the best way to solve problems in urban areas. Proceeds will help the students obtain new technology, so the research and reports they use are simplified and easier for the students to track. We hope to see you there!
